Cloud Computing

Lavi Software Services supports its clients in defining and implementing their cloud strategy, as well as in executing complex IT initiatives and projects.

Cloud Expertise

The cloud-computing market grows by more than 25% every year, led by technology giants such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Amazon and Salesforce. Spending on cloud growth is rising five times faster than any other IT spend. 95% of all international organizations use cloud computing today.

A carefully planned cloud strategy is therefore a prerequisite for any organization before jumping in. A cloud strategy must answer several basic questions, such as:

  • What benefits are expected?
  • Where should we start?
  • Full cloud or hybrid cloud?

The management of an organization considering cloud computing is likely to demand a clear strategy on the matter.

Goals of the Cloud Strategy

  • Present the organization's cloud-computing vision and its accompanying ambitions — defining and sharing a common vision for a meaningful cloud transformation.

  • Secure a successful, well-executed journey to the cloud, navigating it in line with business needs and expectations. In addition, plan and frame the cloud-computing foundations required for full cloud adoption.

Our Approach to Defining a Cloud Strategy

  1. 01

    As-Is Snapshot

The current state of the business and its resources.

  2. 02

    Operating Model

Identifying the owners of the key points in the organization and defining the operating theory from the top.

  3. 03

    Cloud Opportunity Assessment

Identifying the potential of cloud computing for the organization and creating a roadmap.

  4. 04

    Executive Summary

A report is submitted to management with the conclusions of the process.

Once the cloud strategy is defined, Lavi Software Services can help the organization carry out its cloud transformation: vendor selection, solution-fit assessment, cloud migration and operating-model transformation.

What a cloud migration with us includes

Once the strategy is set we carry out the move itself — and stay on for operations, so the cloud stays available, secure and on budget.

  • Provider and architecture

AWS, Azure or Google Cloud — chosen for your existing systems, needs and budget. The recommendation comes out of the strategy, not out of habit.

  • Phased migration

We move one system at a time, with tests before each cutover and a rollback plan, so the business keeps running during the move.

  • Backup and disaster recovery

Automated backups, restore tests and a DR plan — because a backup nobody has restored is just a hope.

  • Security and permissions

Least privilege, two-factor authentication, encryption and monitoring — set up on day one, not after an incident.

  • Monitoring and cost control

Proactive monitoring of availability and performance, and a close eye on the monthly bill so costs don't creep up quietly.

Cloud for business FAQ

What businesses ask us before they move to the cloud.

Is moving to the cloud worth it for a small business?
Usually yes, once you count the full cost: servers, maintenance, backups, downtime and staff hours. But not every system has to move on the same day — part of building the strategy is deciding what to move now, what later, and what not at all.
How long does a cloud migration take?
It depends on the number of systems and the dependencies between them. We start with a current-state assessment and a roadmap, then migrate in phases — each phase short, tested and non-disruptive.
How is our data protected during the move?
Before every cutover there is a full backup and a restore test, a rollback plan in case something doesn't work, and a data integrity check afterwards. The move itself is scheduled for the hours that disrupt work the least.
AWS, Azure or Google Cloud — which one is right for us?
There is no single answer. The main factors: which systems you already use (Microsoft 365, for example), which managed services you need, where your data must be stored, and what your team knows. The recommendation comes out of the strategy, not before it.
What happens after the migration?
You can keep us on for ongoing operations — monitoring, backups, security updates and cost control — or take over with full documentation and run it yourselves.
